Victim Offender Conferencing was published as KAP’s 5th book of the Justice and Peace-building Series.
Victim Offender conference is having offenders take responsibility for injuries inflicted on victims, and developed a manner in which victims are given a chance they can talk more about what happened on the stand.
Customs of indigenous people have roots in conferencing with the idea of “reconciliation” putting emphasis on victim’s pain. When victims hear the term “mediation”, they can navigate avoidance as a result of feelings. On one hand victim offender conference course have a participatory nature. And showing who will attend can possibly make space for large members of the community to attend, if proper.
We look forward to good use in the area of Restorative Justice
